Detailed Itinerary – 5 Day Marrakech to Merzouga Tour
Morning departure from Marrakech, cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260m).
Visit UNESCO World Heritage site Ait Ben Haddou. Continue through Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses
to Dades Gorge. Overnight in Dades Valley.
Morning visit to Todra Gorge with its towering canyon walls. Continue through Tinjdad and Erfoud
(fossil capital) to Merzouga. Sunset camel trek into Erg Chebbi dunes. Dinner and overnight in
desert camp with Berber music under the stars.
Sunrise over the dunes, optional sandboarding. Visit to Khamlia village for Gnawa music performance,
nomadic family visit, and exploration of the desert surroundings. Overnight in Merzouga village hotel.
Morning departure from Merzouga, visit Rissani market (if market day). Drive through the stunning
Draa Valley with its endless palm groves and traditional kasbahs. Continue to Ouarzazate. Overnight in Ouarzazate.
Optional visit to Atlas Film Studios in Ouarzazate. Return journey over the High Atlas Mountains
with photo stops. Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon. End of tour.
