Sample Itinerary
Morning departure by camel through the palm grove and rocky hamada.
Lunch under tamarisk shade. Continue toward Oued Naam dunes.
Bivouac night under the stars.
Breakfast in camp. Trek across small dunes and plateaus.
Picnic in a natural shelter. Camp at Ras Nkhal with nomadic dinner.
Varied desert landscapes: sand, stone, tamarisk. Reach Sidi Naji dunes,
near the shrine of a marabout. Wide Sahara views. Night in tents or under the stars.
Long camel day to the great dunes of Erg Chigaga.
Climb for sunset; final camp at the foot of the dunes.
Sunrise on the dunes, breakfast, then return:
by camel part-way and 4x4 across Lake Iriki & desert plateau back to M’Hamid,
or full camel return (adds extra days).

Camel Trek FAQs
Generally October–May for milder temperatures. In warmer months we start earlier to avoid midday heat.
Light layers, windbreaker, hat, scarf, sunglasses, sunscreen, headlamp, power bank, and a sleeping bag if preferred.
